White House: sell gold, buy Bitcoin

White House crypto advisor Bo Hines publicly states that selling some US gold reserves would be a “budget-neutral” way to acquire more Bitcoin. The framing is remarkable: gold — the historical bedrock of monetary reserves — is being openly discussed as a source of funds to buy a 16-year-old digital asset.
